How To Grip A Skateboard
I am glad you are here because today you will finally learn how to grip your own skateboards. This is something that every skateboarder should know how to do. No skate shop owner or worker wants to grip customers boards so now it is time for you to learn how to do it yourself! Follow these simple steps and you will be on your own in to time.
Step 1 – Things that you are going to need: Your skateboard. Your grip tape. A nice new sharp razor blade. Something to file the grip tape firmly onto the edges of your board. A screw driver will do just fine. Also grab a pencil or something with a point so you can poke the holes on your board. Now that you have all those things just find a nice area with a good flat surface. Any regular kitchen table will be perfect.
Step 2 – Put your skate board flat on the table with the graphic against the table. Grab your grip tape and peal the paper off. Place the grip tape firmly and perfectly on top of your skateboard. Make sure it is on evenly. Once it is on evenly you must push down on it until it is on secure so it wont fly off.
Step 3 – Now grab your screw driver or whatever tool you have chosen to file the grip tape firmly onto the edges of your skate board. Do just that. File the grip tape firmly onto the edges of your skateboard! If you do it correctly you should see it kind of starting to change color. It should start looking white. This means that the grip is on the edges of your board nice and secure.
